Program & Marketing Coordinator
Come join our team! We are seeking a person with social media, marketing, and event experience to help grow Northwest Kidney Kids to the next level. We are a small nonprofit with two part-time staff - Executive Director and Community Engagement Manager and looking to hire a third person to round out our team! This position is for 40 hours a month but has the opportunity to grow as we grow. A successful Program & Marketing Coordinator will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will work remotely in the Portland metropolitan area and ability to travel throughout Northern Oregon/SW Washington to meet the needs of the position.

The primary responsibility is to maintain the brand of NW Kidney Kids and contribute to all social media platforms and manage newsletter. The successful person will show a track record of growing social media and newsletter reach and knowledge and experience in creating content.

The position will organize and implement programs in Northern Oregon and SW Washington to support children with chronic kidney disease and their families.

Qualifications:
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram knowledge and professional/educational experience is required
Event Planning experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritizes deadlines, work independently, take initiative, highly organized and maintain confidentiality
Experience working with children and families. Knowledge of kidney disease helpful
Demonstrated experience successfully working with a variety of racial, ethnic and age groups
Fluency in Spanish a plus.
Ability to lift and carry over 30 pounds
Majority of work should be done during normal office hours, availability to work evenings and weekends
Ability to work remotely and willingness to use own mobile phone and home office including computer
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of database systems is a must
Knowledge, familiarity and desire with nonprofit work preferred
Valid State driver's license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance
Satisfactory results from criminal background search
